Alex Edwards is the Director of Communications at The Century Foundation, where he leads efforts to elevate the organization’s ideas and impact in the media, among policymakers, and with key stakeholders. Before joining TCF, Alex was a senior strategist at BerlinRosen, where he helped build the firm’s philanthropy practice. There, he led advocacy campaigns and developed editorial content for 50+ labor, philanthropic, and political clients, including the nationwide Fight for $15 and Detroit’s ‘Grand Bargain’ to settle the city’s bankruptcy. He has a background in research and international human rights, having previously worked at the National Poverty Center, Amnesty International and Human Rights First. A proud native of the midwest, Alex is a graduate of the University of Michigan and London School of Economics. In 2012, he was named an “Emerging LBGT Leader” by the Office of Vice President Biden.
