Walter is working with Halley Potter and the rest of the education team on a variety of research projects connecting to the theme of advancing equity for women and girls of color. He has a BA in African American Studies and Political Science from Columbia University. Previously, he worked as a civil litigation paralegal for the law firm of Gerald B. Lefcourt, P.C. He has also been a sixth grade English and social studies teacher and interned for Congressman Donald M. Payne Jr. and the Brennan Center for Justice.
