One week before the New York state primaries, WNYC and The Cooper Union will host what is likely to be the final debate for the Democratic candidates for attorney general of New York.
Preet Bharara, former U.S. Attorney, Southern District of New York, podcast host of Stay Tuned with Preet, and distinguished scholar in residence at NYU School of Law, will join WNYC’s Brian Lehrer to co-moderate the debate, which will also feature panelists from New York-based nonprofits that belong to the New Yorkers for Responsible Lending (NYRL) coalition.
Participating candidates are Leecia Eve, Letitia James, Sean Patrick Maloney, and Zephyr Teachout.
Participating panelists from NYRL are Susan Lerner, Esq., executive director, Common Cause/NY; Caroline Nagy, deputy director for policy and research, Center for NYC Neighborhoods; Yan Cao, fellow, The Century Foundation; Ndukwe D.
